Ichirou was our first Shiba Inu and there is quite an interesting story behind how he came to our home from Japan as a ten week old puppy back in August of 2001.

Our puppy Kinshu was whelped by the Dieterly Family (Forest Edge Shibas) for Joni Morningstar in August - October 2004.  Cortney bred the litter when she was visiting Joni in June & July of 2004.  Mary Ann Ross is the owner of the Sire (San Jo's Saijoo Bo) and the Dame (Ch Morningstar Mia Chouseisou) is owned by Joni Morningstar.  Three pups were born in the litter on 8/28/04.  A Black & Tan Male (Shack/Miagie sent to Amsterdam on 10/30/04), a Red Female (Emeko sent back to Joni via Cherie Sullo along with Mia the dam on 10/30/04) and a Red Male (Goliath/Kinshu) which we believed was the pick of the litter and decided to keep.  By 11/01/04, Kinshu weighed 7.7lbs.

Our puppy Copperdots Sachi Forest Edge was whelped by Cortney (Forest Edge Shibas) at Joni Morningstar's home while she was visiting with Joni in June & July of 2004.  Fivc awsome pups (four females and one male) were born in the litter on 6/28/04.  Joni Morningstar is the owner of the Sire (CH Morningstar Shoryu Chouseisou) and the Dame (CH Shizuku Go Yamato Shinzansou) is owned by Diana D. Smiley.

Takeo is the product of a Kinshu and Sachi breeding.  He was the Alpa male from the litter and from the very beginning was the first to leave the whelping bed and the last to return to it always making sure his litter mates were safely inside before he would himself climb back in.

Kaede is the product of a Kinshu and Sachi breeding.  She was the only female in the litter and she is cute with lots of attitude!  Currently, she has 11 points under 5 judges with 2 majors toward her AKC Championship.

Koto is the product of a Kinshu and Sachi breeding.  From the very beginning, it was obvious that he the right spark and energy for the show ring and as a result he has earned five points toward his AKC Championship with one major.

Shato is the product of a Kinshu and Sachi breeding.  Shato loves to run and play in the yard and we just love to watch him move.

Kimiko is a product of a Musashi (Ichirou's famous older brother) and Mia breeding.  Kimiko shown here with Ichirou was Karen's favorite little girl and used to go with me to work almost every day.  Kimiko now provides fun, love and comfort to her new owner Kitty who lives in Maryland and we often receive photos of her happily with her new family.
